TAROTPIA
the rules : produce an animation in three months to run on a loop for three months. any theme, appropriate for all ages.
TAROTPIA was produced with the assistance of close to 30 volunteer community members who helped to illustrate, ink, animate & soundtrack the 8 minute long animation. Following the fool's journey through the major arcana of the tarot, TAROTPIA is a playful look at the cycles of life that we all traverse through. Textured with color and intricate in design, the work transcends description.
Originally produced to be shown at The TollBooth Gallery in Tacoma, WA as part of a Spaceworks program for Public Art, it was later shown at Lei Min Space in Chinatown, Los Angeles, CA as part of a solo exhibit of the same name and in Olympia, WA at the Historic Capitol Theater as part of the Olympia Film Festival.
